"Draw for the Preliminary Round of the 5th USPE European Police Championship Volleyball Women 2024"

On 18th April 2023, the draw for the Preliminary Round of the 5th USPE EPC Volleyball Women from 8th to 15th September 2024 in Saarbrücken/Germany took place at the USPE Office in Meiningen/Germany via video conference.

According to item 4.4.2 of the USPE Competition Rules, USPE Secretary General Andreas Röhner and the USPE Technical Delegate for Volleyball, Mr. Dirk Weninger, decided that Germany (3rd-placed) as organiser as well as the Czech Republic as 2nd-placed and Greece as 4th-placed of the last USPE EPC Volleyball Women 2019 are directly qualified for the Final Round.

In the presence of USPE President Georgios Tzatzakis, the USPE Secretary General, the USPE Technical Delegate for Volleyball, the 2022 Olympic Champion in Skeleton and Thuringian police officer, Mr. Christopher Grotheer, as well as representatives of the registered countries and the USPE Office, the grouping and position of the remaining nine teams for the three Preliminary Rounds were decided by lot with the following result:

"Draw for the Final Round of the 11th USPE European Police Championship Volleyball Men"

On 29th July 2022 the draw for the Final Round of the 11th USPE European Police Championship Volleyball Men in Turin/Italy, which was postponed to the period from 17th to 24th June 2023, took place at the USPE Office in Meiningen/Germany via video conference.

According to the respective Invitation to Enter, in the two groups A & B, Italy as the host was seeded as A1 and Bulgaria as the winner of the last USPE EPC Volleyball Men 2017 was seeded as B1.

In the presence of USPE President Luc Smeyers, USPE Secretary General Andreas Röhner, USPE General Treasurer Harry Brüngger, the USPE Technical Delegate for Volleyball, Mr. Dirk Weninger, the 2021 Olympic Silver medal winner in Race Walking and Thuringian police officer, Mr. Jonathan Hilbert, former successful bobsleigh athlete and Thuringian police officer, Mrs. Stefanie Redenovic, as well as representatives of the qualified countries, the grouping and position of the remaining six teams for the Final Round were decided by lot with the following result:

"Draw for the Preliminary Round for the 11th USPE European Police Championship Volleyball Men "

On 7th October 2021 the draw for the Preliminary Round of the 11th USPE European Police Championship Volleyball Men from 25th September to 2nd October 2022 in Turin/Italy took place within the 2nd ordinary Meeting of the USPE Technical Commission in Prague/Czech Republic.

For this EPC, Italy as organiser and Bulgaria as the winner of the last EPC Volleyball Men 2017 were seeded for the Final Round.

In the presence of the USPE President, the USPE Secretary General, the USPE General Treasurer, the USPE Technical Delegate for Basketball and the other Technical Commission members, the draw took place.

"11th USPE EPC Volleyball Men 2022 - Preliminary Round - Group D"

The Preliminary Round - Group D of the 11th USPE EPC Volleyball Men 2022 took place from 17th to 19th June 2022 in Largs/United Kingdom. After the exclusion of Russia from the USPE the Group where set of the Teams from United Kingdom and Finland. According to the Invitation to Enter, both Teams had to play twice against each other.

Finland won 3-0 and 3-1. Both matches were very well competed and played in a fair and respectful way. The USPE member country Finland as the winner of Group D has qualified fourth for the Final Round of this USPE EPC. USPE Secretary General Andreas Röhner would kindly like to thank the host, Police Sport UK, especially President Matt Jukes, the Head of Organisation, Mr. Bill Skelly, the local organiser, Mr. Ian E Campbell, as well as the responsible Technical Delegate, Mr. Laszlo Gyori from Hungary, for the excellent organisation of this Preliminary Round.

After the four Preliminary Rounds, the winner of each Group - Belgium, Greece, Germany and Finland -, the two best second teams - Czech Republic and France-, as well as the host Italy and the last champion Bulgaria are qualified for the Final Round of the 11th USPE EPC Volleyball Men 2022 from 25th September to 2nd October 2022 in Turin/Italy.”

The Preliminary Round - Group B of the 11th USPE EPC Volleyball Men 2022 take place from 23rd to 25th May 2022 in Breitenbrunn/Germany.

The USPE member country Germany as the winner of Group B has qualified third for the Final Round of this USPE EPC from 25th September to 2nd October 2022 in Turin/Italy.

The USPE member country Greece as the winner of Group A has qualified second for the Final Round of this USPE EPC from 25th September to 2nd October 2022 in Turin/Italy.

"USPE EPC Volleyball Men 2022 – Preliminary Round Group C"

The Preliminary Round Group C of the USPE European Police Championship Volleyball Men 2022 took place in Jambes/Belgium.

After the cancellation of the Netherlands the Group where set of the Teams from Belgium and Norway. According to the Invitation to Enter, both Teams had to play twice against each other.

The matches where played in the Centre sportif „La Mosane“ of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles with the support of the sports minister of the region Wallonie Ms. Valerie Glatigny.

The team of the host Belgium was clearly stronger, but nevertheless the Team of Norway have played with a very good spirit and fight until the last point.
Finally Belgium won both matches 3:0 and qualified as the winner of the Group C to the Final Round in Turin.
