The Preliminary Round - Group A of the 9th USPE EPC Basketball Men 2022 took place from 15th to 18th February 2022 in Székesfehervár/Hungary.
After Monaco's cancellation, Hungary and Iceland had to play each other twice with the following result:
1st match on 16th February 2022:
Hungary: 45 - Iceland: 94
2nd match on 17th February 2022:
Hungary: 69 - Iceland: 83
This results in the following places:
1. Iceland (4 points)
2. Hungary (0 points)
The USPE member country Iceland has qualified first for the Final Round of this USPE EPC from 20th to 27th June 2022 in Limoges/France.

"Draw for the Preliminary Round for the 9th USPE European Police Championship Basketball Men"
On 7th October 2021 the draw for the Preliminary Round of the 9th USPE European Police Championship Basketball Men from 20th to 27th June 2022 in Limoges/France took place within the 2nd ordinary Meeting of the USPE Technical Commission in Prague/Czech Republic.
For this EPC, France as organiser (third-placed), Greece as first-placed, Lithuania as second-placed and Belgium as fourth-placed of the last EPC Basketball Men 2017 were seeded for the Final Round.
In the presence of the USPE President, the USPE Secretary General, the USPE General Treasurer, the USPE Technical Delegate for Basketball and the other Technical Commission members, the draw took place.
