"Draw for the Final Round of the 9th USPE European Police Championship Basketball Men 2022

On 6th May 2022 the draw for the Final Round of the 9th USPE European Police Championship Basketball Men from 20th to 27th June 2022 in Limoges/France took place at the USPE Office in Meiningen/Germany via video conference.

According to the respective Invitation to Enter, in the two groups A & B, France as the host was seeded as A1 and Greece as the winner of the last USPE EPC Basketball Men 2017 was seeded as B1.

In the presence of USPE President Luc Smeyers, USPE Secretary General Andreas Röhner, USPE General Treasurer Harry Brüngger, the USPE Technical Delegate for Basketball, Mr. Massimo Re, a representative of the Thuringian Police Education Centre, Mr. Fritz Schopf, the 2022 Olympic Champion in Skeleton and Thuringian police officer, Mr. Christopher Grotheer, as well as representatives of all qualified countries, the grouping and position of the remaining six teams for the Final Round were decided by lot with the following result:

"9th USPE EPC Basketball Men 2022 - Preliminary Round - Group B"

The Preliminary Round - Group B of the 9th USPE EPC Basketball Men 2022 took place from 20th to 22nd April 2022 in Selm/Germany.

After Ireland's cancellation, Germany and the United Kingdom had to play each other twice with the following result:
1st match on 21st April 2022:
Germany: 95 - United Kingdom: 49

2nd match on 21st April 2022:
Germany: 102 - United Kingdom: 39

This results in the following places:
1. Germany (4 points)
2. United Kingdom (0 points)

The USPE member country Germany has qualified third for the Final Round of this USPE EPC from 20th to 27th June 2022 in Limoges/France.

"9th USPE EPC Basketball Men 2022 - Preliminary Round - Group C"

The exciting Preliminary Round - Group C of the 9th USPE EPC Basketball Men 2022 took place from 28th February to 2nd March 2022 in Esch-Alzette/Luxembourg with the following results:

1st match on 1st March 2022:
Luxembourg: 73 - Netherlands: 49

2nd match on 1st March 2022:
Netherlands: 62 - Italy: 66

3rd match on 2nd March 2022:
Luxembourg: 72 - Italy: 61

This results in the following places:
1. Luxembourg (4 points)
2. Italy
(2 points)
3. Netherlands
(0 points)

The USPE member country Luxembourg has qualified second for the Final Round of this USPE EPC from 20th to 27th June 2022 in Limoges/France.

"9th USPE EPC Basketball Men 2022 - Preliminary Round - Group A"

The Preliminary Round - Group A of the 9th USPE EPC Basketball Men 2022 took place from 15th to 18th February 2022 in Székesfehervár/Hungary.

After Monaco's cancellation, Hungary and Iceland had to play each other twice with the following result:
1st match on 16th February 2022:
Hungary: 45 - Iceland: 94

2nd match on 17th February 2022:
Hungary: 69 - Iceland: 83

This results in the following places:
1. Iceland (4 points)
2. Hungary
(0 points)

The USPE member country Iceland has qualified first for the Final Round of this USPE EPC from 20th to 27th June 2022 in Limoges/France.

"Draw for the Preliminary Round for the 9th USPE European Police Championship Basketball Men"

On 7th October 2021 the draw for the Preliminary Round of the 9th USPE European Police Championship Basketball Men from 20th to 27th June 2022 in Limoges/France took place within the 2nd ordinary Meeting of the USPE Technical Commission in Prague/Czech Republic.

For this EPC, France as organiser (third-placed), Greece as first-placed, Lithuania as second-placed and Belgium as fourth-placed of the last EPC Basketball Men 2017 were seeded for the Final Round.

In the presence of the USPE President, the USPE Secretary General, the USPE General Treasurer, the USPE Technical Delegate for Basketball and the other Technical Commission members, the draw took place.
