Official Draw for the qualification round of the 10th USPE European Police Championship in Basketball (Men)

The Draw Has Been Successfully Conducted

On 23 January 2026, at 11:00 CET, the official draw for the qualification round of the 10th European Police Championship in Basketball (Men), to be hosted in Greece, was conducted at the USPE Office. The draw was carried out by the USPE Secretary General Mr. Ivo Velchev together with Police Academy cadet Mira Georgieva, in the presence of the Head of the USPE Office, Mr. Simeon Gugalov.

The entire procedure was broadcast live on the official USPE Instagram channel and via Zoom.

Draw Procedure

A total of nine teams participated in the draw and were allocated into three groups of three teams each: Groups A, B, and C.
In accordance with the current memorandum with FIBA, the group leaders were the teams ranked second, third, and fourth at the previous championship: Germany, Iceland, and Lithuania.
Greece, as the host country and reigning champion, is directly qualified.

"Draw for the Final Round of the 4^th USPE European Police Championship Basketball Women 2024 at the FIBA Headquarter in Mies/Switzerland"

On 15^th March 2024, the draw for the Final Round of the 4^th USPE EPC Basketball Women from 18^th to 25^th May 2024 in Heraklion/Greece took place at the Headquarter of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA) in Mies/Switzerland.

Greece as the host is seeded as A1, France as the reigning champion is seeded as B1.

In the presence of FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, FIBA Europe Managing Director Kamil Novak, FIBA NF & Sports Senior Manager Kosta Iliev, USPE President Georgios Tzatzakis, USPE Secretary General Andreas Röhner, USPE Technical Delegate for Basketball, Mr. Massimo Re, representatives of the Greek organiser, Police Major Georgios Pikrakis and Police Sergeant Konstantinos Zakestidis, the number of the teams of each group and the grouping and position of the participating USPE member countries were decided by lot with the following result:
