The 9th USPE European Police Championship Marathon took place on the 3rd of May 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic, within the renowned Prague International Marathon. A total of 173 police athletes (108 men and 65 women) from across Europe took to the start line in warm conditions, with temperatures rising from 14°C at the start to over 22°C by the finish. In the men’s race, Austria’s Mario Bauernfeind delivered a strong performance to take victory in 2:19:10, pulling clear in the second half. Germany’s Tammo Oldigs (2:21:06) and Switzerland’s Manuel Sassi (2:21:18) completed the podium. Germany secured the men’s team title with an excellent combined time of 9:48:36, ahead of Austria and France. The women’s race was dominated by Germany’s Anna Langerwisch, who led from early on to win convincingly in 2:32:13. Belgium’s Elien Janssen (2:48:28) and Norway’s Signe By Eide (2:48:32) followed. Germany also claimed the women’s team title (8:23:52), with France and Poland taking silver and bronze. The event showcased not only high-level performances but also outstanding sportsmanship and camaraderie, reflecting the strong spirit of cooperation and friendship within USPE sport. |
