Draw for the Qualification Phase of the 12th USPE European Police Championship Volleyball for Men

On 12 February 2026, at the USPE Office in Sofia, the draw for the qualification phase of the 12th USPE European Police Championship Volleyball for Men was held.

A total of 11 national teams are taking part in the competition. Bulgaria (host), Germany (reigning champion) and Greece (previous finalist) qualify directly for the Final Tournament.

The qualification pairings are as follows:

• Luxembourg – Norway
• Slovakia – United Kingdom
• Czech Republic – Denmark
• France – Italy


The first‑drawn teams — Luxembourg, Slovakia, Czech Republic and France — will host the matches. Hosting rights may be exchanged if both teams agree.

The four winners and the best “lucky loser” (based on the highest coefficient among the defeated teams) will qualify for the Final Tournament.

Official Draw for the qualification round of the 10th USPE European Police Championship in Basketball (Men)

The Draw Has Been Successfully Conducted

On 23 January 2026, at 11:00 CET, the official draw for the qualification round of the 10th European Police Championship in Basketball (Men), to be hosted in Greece, was conducted at the USPE Office. The draw was carried out by the USPE Secretary General Mr. Ivo Velchev together with Police Academy cadet Mira Georgieva, in the presence of the Head of the USPE Office, Mr. Simeon Gugalov.

The entire procedure was broadcast live on the official USPE Instagram channel and via Zoom.

Draw Procedure

A total of nine teams participated in the draw and were allocated into three groups of three teams each: Groups A, B, and C.
In accordance with the current memorandum with FIBA, the group leaders were the teams ranked second, third, and fourth at the previous championship: Germany, Iceland, and Lithuania.
Greece, as the host country and reigning champion, is directly qualified.

75 Years of USPE – Anniversary in Tallinn, Estonia

On 30^th November 2025, the Union Sportive des Polices d’Europe (USPE) celebrated its 75^th anniversary in Tallinn, Estonia, hosted by Estonia together with the member countries of the Northern League.

Founded in Paris on 30^th November 1950 at the initiative of the French Police Sports Association, together with nine visionary countries – Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland – USPE has grown into an organization representing 39 member states today.

Over the decades, USPE has expanded its geographical reach, welcoming new member countries from across Europe and strengthening its role as a unifying force in police sport. Established in difficult times with the vision of building a better and more united Europe, USPE has endured decades of dynamic change, preserved its traditions, and embraced new challenges.

With a long-standing tradition of promoting unity, cooperation, and excellence in police sport, USPE continues to expand its mission – strengthening bonds among police officers and popularizing sport across Europe. It is an organization that grows but never ages, ready to face the future with resilience and vision.

USPE leadership extends its sincere gratitude to all member countries for their commitment and dedication to the organization’s ideals and goals throughout the years, wishing for an increase in membership and for even more sporting events with ever greater participation in the future.
